Dominic Seymour studied violin at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the tutorage of Susanne Stanzeleit. Dominic had the opportunity to work with, and receive coaching from a number of renowned chamber musicians including members of the Maggini Quartet, Lindsay Quartet and Eblana String Trio, which sparked his love for chamber music. He has received prizes for his duet work, as well as opportunities to take part in masterclasses working with musicians such as Leland Chen, Nathaniel Vallois and Tasmin Little.
After graduating, Dominic regularly performed in shows in London's West End as well as teaching privately and for Berkshire Music Service. Dominic now enjoys performing with orchestras across Suffolk and Essex as well as taking on challenging repertoire with his quartets. Having joined the Colne Philharmonic roughly 15 years ago and later being offered the opportunity to lead the second violin section, Dominic says, "it is a pleasure to have been asked to step up and lead the orchestra. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to explore new repertoire and lead the orchestra forward this season"
