Following our Vision, The Colne Philharmonic Orchestra have been very privileged to perform with many talented people over the past 30+ years.

We are proud to introduce our Soloists for our 2022 season below:

Annemarie Federle

At the age of eighteen, Annemarie Federle reached the Final of the 2020 BBC Young Musician competition where she performed Ruth Gipps Horn Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and 4.

In 2021 Annemarie won joint first prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award and was a semi-finalist at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, performing Mozart Horn Concerto No. 4 with the Munich Chamber Orchestra.

Other recent highlights include performances at Lichfield Festival and as soloist with National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at Royal Festival Hall in addition to recording chamber music with Three World Records.

Originally from Cambridge, Annemarie studies the French Horn on an ABRSM scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music with Richard Watkins, David Pyatt and Martin Owen, as well as the natural horn with Roger Montgomery. She has recently participated in masterclasses with Radovan Vlatkovic and Katy Woolley.

Annemarie is grateful to the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) for their generous support in their aftercare scheme for BBC Young Musician Finalists.
